Description

Obstructive chronic bronchitis with acute exacerbation is a condition in which the airways become inflamed and narrowed due to an infection or other irritant. This can cause difficulty breathing, coughing, and wheezing. Acute exacerbations are sudden, severe flare-ups of symptoms that can last for days or weeks. These exacerbations can be caused by a variety of factors, including exposure to air pollution, allergens, or a viral or bacterial infection. Treatment typically involves antibiotics, bronchodilators, and other medications to reduce inflammation and open the airways.
