Description

Heart failure is a diagnosis given to patients who have symptoms of heart failure, but do not meet the criteria for any specific type of heart failure.

Symptoms of heart failure may include shortness of breath, fatigue, swelling in the legs and feet, and an irregular heartbeat.

Treatment for heart failure may include lifestyle changes, medications, and in some cases, surgery.
