Description

Calcitriol is a form of vitamin D3 that is used to treat and prevent low levels of calcium in the blood. It is also used to treat certain bone diseases, such as osteoporosis and rickets. Calcitriol works by helping the body absorb calcium from food and supplements.

Common side effects of calcitriol include nausea, vomiting, constipation, headache, dizziness, and increased thirst. Other side effects may include increased urination, muscle pain, and weakness.
