P-dinitrobenzene is an organic compound composed of two nitro groups attached to a benzene ring. It is a yellow crystalline solid that is insoluble in water and has a strong odor. It is used as a precursor in the manufacture of dyes, explosives, and other chemicals.
P-dinitrobenzene is toxic and can cause irritation to the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract. Inhalation of the substance can cause coughing, chest tightness, and difficulty breathing. Ingestion of the substance can cause nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Long-term exposure to p-dinitrobenzene can cause liver and kidney damage.
