Hydralazine is a medication used to treat high blood pressure. It is a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing the pressure in the vessels. It is also used to treat heart failure and to prevent chest pain caused by angina.
Common side effects of hydralazine include headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and rash. Other more serious side effects include chest pain, difficulty breathing, and swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
