Description

Doxorubicin is an anthracycline antibiotic and chemotherapy drug used to treat a variety of cancers, including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. It works by interfering with the growth of cancer cells and stopping them from dividing.

Common side effects of doxorubicin include nausea, vomiting, hair loss, mouth sores, loss of appetite, fatigue, and diarrhea. It can also cause more serious side effects, such as heart damage, anemia, and low white blood cell counts.
