Description

2-(4-chlorphenoxy)-ethanol, also known as 2-chlorophenoxyethanol, is a synthetic phenoxyethanol compound used as a preservative in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and food products. It is also used as a solvent and as a disinfectant.

Side effects of 2-(4-chlorphenoxy)-ethanol include skin irritation, eye irritation, and respiratory irritation. It may also cause allergic reactions in some individuals.
