Methyl n-butyl ketone (also known as 2-Butanone) is an organic compound that is used as a solvent in a variety of industrial and consumer products. It is a colorless liquid with a sweet, pungent odor. It is highly flammable and can be toxic if inhaled or ingested.
Toxic effects of methyl n-butyl ketone include irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat, dizziness, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Long-term exposure can cause liver and kidney damage.
