Temazepam is a benzodiazepine drug used to treat insomnia and other sleep disorders. It works by slowing down the activity of the brain and central nervous system, allowing the user to relax and fall asleep. Temazepam is also used to treat anxiety and alcohol withdrawal.
Common side effects of temazepam include drowsiness, dizziness, headache, confusion, blurred vision, dry mouth, and constipation. More serious side effects may include difficulty breathing, chest pain, and an irregular heartbeat.
Brand names associated with temazepam include Restoril, Normison, Euhypnos, and Temaze.
