Aminosalicylic acid (also known as para-aminosalicylic acid or PAS) is an antibiotic used to treat tuberculosis. It works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria that cause tuberculosis. It is usually taken in combination with other drugs to treat the infection.

Common side effects of aminosalicylic acid include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, rash, and headache. It may also cause liver damage, anemia, and low white blood cell count.
