Description

Formestane is a synthetic steroidal aromatase inhibitor used to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It works by blocking the production of estrogen in the body, which can help slow the growth of certain types of breast cancer cells.

Common side effects of formestane include hot flashes, joint pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, fatigue, and increased sweating. Other more serious side effects may include liver damage, high blood pressure, and increased risk of stroke or heart attack.
