Description

P-nitrotoluene is an organic compound that is used in the production of dyes, explosives, and pharmaceuticals. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a sweet, pungent odor. It is highly flammable and can be explosive when exposed to heat or flame.

P-nitrotoluene is toxic and can cause irritation to the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Inhalation of the vapors can cause dizziness, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Long-term exposure can cause liver and kidney damage.
