P-toluidine is an organic compound that is used in the production of dyes, rubber, and pharmaceuticals. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with an ammonia-like odor. It is also known as toluidine, toluidene, and methylbenzene.
P-toluidine is toxic and can cause irritation to the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Inhalation of the vapors can cause headaches, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. Long-term exposure can lead to liver and kidney damage, as well as anemia.
