Description
Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) is a synthetic drug that acts as a stimulant and hallucinogen. It is commonly known as ecstasy or molly. MDMA produces feelings of increased energy, pleasure, emotional warmth, and distorted sensory and time perception.
The toxic effects of MDMA include increased heart rate and blood pressure, nausea, muscle tension, involuntary teeth clenching, blurred vision, faintness, and chills or sweating. Long-term use of MDMA can lead to anxiety, depression, and memory problems.
