Neonatal hepatitis is a type of liver inflammation that occurs in newborns. It is caused by a variety of factors, including viral infections, metabolic disorders, and toxins. Symptoms of neonatal hepatitis include jaundice, poor feeding, vomiting, and enlarged liver and spleen. Treatment depends on the underlying cause and may include medications, dietary changes, and supportive care.
