Description

Small-cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) is a type of lung cancer that is characterized by the presence of small, abnormal cells in the lungs. It is an aggressive form of cancer that is often diagnosed at an advanced stage and is associated with a poor prognosis. SCLC is caused by the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the lungs, which can spread to other parts of the body. Treatment typically involves chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
