Description

Octacosanol is a long-chain fatty alcohol found in plant waxes, such as wheat germ oil, and is used as a dietary supplement. It is believed to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and is thought to improve physical performance and endurance.

Octacosanol has been linked to a number of toxic effects, including liver damage, kidney damage, and increased risk of cancer. It has also been linked to increased risk of stroke and heart attack.
